Why we're hoping for a 'miracle' for Carl

Susannah Wright
3/ 4/2008

A MAN suffering from a terminal muscle-wasting disease is pinning his hopes on a breakthrough that would prolong his life.

Carl Tilson, 21, has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic condition which has left him wheelchair bound, and needing round-the-clock care.

Most of those who have the condition die by the time they reach their 20s or 30s, but doctors believe that a clinical trial could be on the verge of a breakthrough that would give hope to Carl and thousands like him.

I hope for the absolute best for Carl, and I will try always to be there for him.

This is a great article it lets the public see for themselves, but Carl is a great person with lots of determination, he deserves every stride of his honourable life he has taken.

Not to mention his wonderful and caring parents.
