I WAS at Wythenshawe Hospital this week for a pre-op discussion. This means a long chat with the surgeon (who actually re-scheduled his day so as to see little old me!), and various tests undertaken to ascertain an individual's chances of surviving the trauma of having the body sliced open and worked on.
