STANDING at my photographic exhibition in Habitat, watching customers during their pre-Christmas shopping bonanza in their quest for that emergency feather bauble, has proved a fascinating anthropological experience.

IT'S upon us again. The ubiquitous Christmas is here with a vengeance. Debit and credit cards sit quietly trembling in wallets and handbags as the owners view, mesmerised, all the amazing goodies on display for their delight and delectation.

IN LAST week's column I told the tale of my mountain bike adventure and ended by saying maybe I'd sell the bike. A gaggle of 'green' people took me to task for this decision and insisted I should have tried harder and that it's my fault, along with others with the same viewpoint as me, for creating the horrors of global warming etc, which are, allegedly, affecting our planet.
