1. James Chapman-Kelly - November 27 2008

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 27 November 2008
STRICTLY. There’s something dark, sensual and risqué about the solitary word ‘strictly’, isn’t there?

2. Forget the bad news, it's Top of the Shops

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 27 November 2008
FOR EVERY silver lining, there is a cloud. For every light, our newspapers need to concentrate on the darkness before the end of the tunnel…. Does nobody ever question the psychological effect of the way our media presents our lives back to us?

3. Part and parcel of a frustrating morning out

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 13 November 2008
IF IT is logical that the human being is drawn to spending as much time as is possible in the place in which they feel most relaxed, comfortable and at ease, then it seems that a building at Fallowfield’s Granville Road is poised to become the new Cote d’Azure.

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 30 October 2008
HOW often have you been told by some officious looking person on the telly that changes are being made to the fabric of society that will make your life easier? And how often has it actually worked out that way?

8. Why TOTP is still my number one ...

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 6 November 2008
CHRISTMAS just won’t be the same this year. There’ll still be the turkey, the booze and the tinsel. That, as Jim Bowen would have it, is safe.

9. James Chapman-Kelly - 6 November 2008

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 6 November 2008
EVIDENTLY belief in a 'higher power' or 'God' goes hand-in-hand with belief in a life after death or 'heaven'. Most religions conform to the basic idea that you live your life, grow old (hopefully), get ill, spend ages in hospital (hopefully not) and eventually die.

10. Demons, NCT sales and a few other parenting nightmares

South Manchester Reporter, Thursday 23 October 2008
IT’S scary the things you hear through a radio baby monitor.
