Cash boost

WHALLEY Range Cricket Club have been given an early boost ahead of the new Manchester Association Premier Division season.
They have been awarded £3,000 over two seasons to redevelop the club as well as their facilities and equipment.
The money came courtesy of Old Trafford solicitors colemans-ctts.
Cricket chairman Mike Hill said: "This money is very welcome indeed. Cricket is an expensive game – ground preparation, equipment, cricket balls and umpires get more costly."
