GREGORIANS’ hopes of lifting their maiden Manchester Football League Premier Division title were hit by a 3-3 draw at Hollinwood.
Curtis Braithwaite, Rob Doyle and Keenan Ratclyfe gave Gregs a point, but it sees them only two points ahead of a Wigan Robin Park side who boast two games in hand.
Gregs’ A team moved into second place in their division courtesy of a 3-2 derby win over Wythenshawe Town’s reserves.
However, there was no joy for Gregs’ B team who were beaten 3-0 at Stockport Georgians.
It was a blank day for Wythenshawe Amateurs as the first team lost 2-0 at Rochdale Sacred Heart, while the seconds lost to the only goal of the game against Breightmet United.
In division one, Manchester Juniors’ losing run was extended as they went down 4-2 against Dukinfield Town.
Both of the West Didsbury and Chorlton teams in action were beaten, the seconds 2-0 against Springhead and the A side 3-1 at Walshaw SC.
