Claim 'Keepers' place

A FREE training session is on offer to young goalkeepers across South Manchester who wish to improve their skills.

‘Just 4 Keepers’ is an organisation which trains shot-stoppers aged between eight and 18, helping them to improve their technique by participating in a specialist training programme.

It is overseen by former Manchester City, Cardiff City and Republic of Ireland keeper Ron Healey, along with his son Scott who counts York City, Droylsden, Bangor City and Leek Town among his former clubs.

Scott said: "Just 4 Keepers have developed many goalkeepers that have gone on to sign for professional football clubs academies and schools of excellence at Manchester City, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Blackpool, Stockport County, Bury, Rochdale and Macclesfield Town.

"Other goalkeepers have gone on to play semi-professional football, attend further education sports courses and join college sports academies."
