Wacs stop rot

LACROSSE: Old Waconians ended a dismal losing sequence with a comfortable 14-6 win at relagtion-haunted Rochdale.

The Wacs scoring hero was Nick More with a nap-hand to give his team the edge. Supporting him were Matt Caplin, Chris Fitzgerald and Steve Shanahan with doubles to keep Wacs in mid-table.

Wacs A found undefeated Stockport A too hot to handle as they went down 15-4 at Wilmslow Road.

Stockport went through the quarters at 4-0, 8-2 and 12-3 and never gave Wacs a glimpse of glory with their consolation strikes coming from Chris Higham (2), Tom Howells and Tom Owen, with his first for the senior teams.
