Alternative SAS putting children through their paces

THE Sports Action Services (SAS) initiated by Manchester Leisure's Sports Development saw over 40 youngsters aged between eight and 15 enjoying top coaching at Rushford Park in Levenshulme, the home of Manchester Eagles.

All the coaches involved were FA qualified and put the emphasis on enjoyment as well as skill improvement.

Organiser Ben Fleet said: "It proved to be a terrific session and we will be looking to put another event on here and in other areas of the city during the February half term in 2004.
